Nine Months!

We have finally gotten around to putting up Rachel's 9 month pictures. She is certainly keeping us busy these days! She has a lot of energy and loves to get around the house (most of the time).

We took Rachel in for her 9 month check-up this week. She is doing very well. Here are her official stats:

Weight 18lbs 6.5oz (40th percentile)

Height 28 inches (65th percentile)

Rachel spends a lot of her time these days crawling or walking (with assistance) around the house.

As you can see, she does not steer very effectively when walking and often finds herself stuck. Soon she will figure how to get herself out of this predicament, but that day is not here yet.

Last Sunday, while we were getting ready for people to come over to watch the Saints win the Superbowl (WHO DAT!!!), Rachel decided that she did not really feel like playing much. In fact, she did not feel like doing any except being held. So, with some help from the sling, she was able to participate in cleaning up the house.

Almost 9 Months Old

As you might expect, Rachel just keeps on getting bigger.  These days, she enjoys eating a wide variety of food (including Cheerios and cottage cheese).

We had a great time last weekend when Steve, Karen and Don came over for dinner and some relaxing time watching TV.  Rachel enjoyed playing with Karen on the exercise ball.

Rachel is getting around much better these days.  She has dramatically improved her crawling skills and can pull up and get around on 2 feet with support.  Here are a couple of videos of her in action today.
