Wes' Second MS150

Wes did his second MS150 ride to Austin last weekend.


While he was gone, I tried to do Owen's 11-month picture.  These will have to be considered unofficial, though, because he kept throwing the horse on the floor.

Rachel was very helpful in picking up Owen's horse and also banging together some toy pans to get him to look the right direction (you can just see her on the side of the picture above).  He thought it was all a pretty fun game.

It was great weather for the ride - we saw Wes just after he crossed the finish line.

On the way home, we stopped for barbecue in Elgin.  Owen enjoyed snacking on crackers and poking the camera.  

Rachel enjoyed her lunch and loved the Blue Bell for dessert.

Enjoying the Spring

The last couple of weeks we have not been too busy (other than work).  We got to spend lots of time outside enjoying the spring.


Rachel is excited that it is warm enough for the splash pad.  She still loves it! 

Owen enjoys watching Rachel play at the park.

We had a mini-picnic in the backyard last Sunday with some watermelon.

We also fed the birds.  It is fun to see them visit our yard.

Here is Owen's much-delayed 10-month picture.  He has gotten much more active with his crawling and finally has some teeth - 3 top ones came in virtually at the same time and he currently has too bottom ones coming out together.

I realize that as of yesterday he is 11 months old...we will get caught up eventually.

Easter 2012

We had a great time visiting the family in Utopia for Easter this year!


Rachel enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at the Laurel Tree.

She even found the purple egg eventually.

We tried to take some pictures with the flowers and this is the best we got.

Rachel enjoyed coloring eggs with her cousins.

Owen loved spending time with all of the family.  He loves to visit everyone.  Here he is with Granny.

They both looked cute for Easter Sunday...unfortunately no one wanted to sit still long enough for a family picture.  So, this is what we got.

They were more tolerant for the picture with Kathy and Granny.

I took a few more pictures of them in their Easter outfits.

Owen found some yummy grass while I was taking his picture.

Rachel had fun hiding eggs at Granny's and then finding them.

Easter Egg Hunt

In preparation for Easter, we went to a fun Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood last weekend.  As you might expect, Owen was fairly unenthused but Rachel loved it.

There were a lot of kids but Rachel managed to get a ton of eggs.

Even Owen found some.

Once we had gathered enough, we opened them to check out the treats inside.

Owen was not sure what we were doing to his stroller when we filled it with eggs.
