Sweet Baby Henry

Henry has been getting much more interactive when he is awake.  He even has smiles for us now.  Here are some pictures we have taken over the last week or so.

Henry's First Trip to the Zoo

Wes is relaxing this weekend riding his bike to Austin.  So, I am on my own with the kids.  It was a beautiful day and possibly one of the last cool days for a long time so we headed to the zoo.  It seems the rest of Houston thought it was a good idea, too.  Once we were parked and in, though, we had a great time.

Henry did not wake up until we were almost back home.  Overall, I think he liked the zoo.

Swim Class Graduation

Rachel finished the first level of her swimming classes today.  She seems to really like the water when she is in it.  Before class, she is a little apprehensive but always tells me afterwards that she enjoyed it.  Parents are only allowed to come in by the pool on the last day.  Otherwise, we watch from behind the glass so the kids are not distracted.

Last Week

Things are still going well around here.  Rachel has started swimming lessons and Henry is awake more during the day so that has slowed down my blogging activity.

Owen had a good time last week painting on the sidewalk outside.  He does not like to be messy so we had to keep a paper towel handy in case any dripped on his hands or legs.

Rachel really enjoys playing in the rain.  She got all dressed up when a cold front was coming through but it didn't end up raining on her much when she was out there.  She was hoping for some big puddles to jump in.

Henry still loves his mommy.

Inside, we get to spend time with "Princess Rachel" as well as "the Amazing Rachel".

Prince Owen did not stand still long enough for a good picture.

No tutu for Henry yet.

Rachel's class grew carrots in their garden.  Rachel was excited to bring hers home.

Delicious!

We also got a new splash pool for the yard.  It is not as big as out last out, but we think the kids will enjoy it.  Rachel was excited and jumped right in.

Owen needed a little more encouragement.  The water was cold, but he did get in and splash eventually.

The kids have also been spending quality time in the sand box and helping in the garden.

They are both great helpers at getting things planted.

Like any little boy, Owen loves to play with cars.  He even loves to push his cars around in a stroller...this is what happens when you have a big sister.

Another Fun Weekend

Spring is one of our favorite times in Houston.  We try to take advantage of being outside as much as possible before the heat gets to be too much.

On Saturday, we went to the first show of the season at Miller Outdoor.  Rachel was happy that we had olives for her to eat while watching some performers warm up.

Owen was pretty happy unless his plate was empty.  Henry enjoyed relaxing on the blanket.

Sweet boy

Our friends got to have a turn holding sweet little Henry.

Jared is the baby whisperer and put him right to sleep.

It was perfect weather for a picnic.

Healthy cheetos for dinner.

Ready for the show to start!

Henry slept (as usual)

Owen worked hard on his games.

Everything packed up and ready to head home.  3 kids need a lot of stuff.

On Sunday, we went to the Downtown Aquarium.  Rachel has been asking to go back to the New Orleans aquarium and this was our closest alternative.

They have white tigers there!  Not sure why...

Under attack!

We rode a couple of rides as well.  Owen liked the shark train.

Rachel initially covered her eyes in the shark tunnel.

Owen loved it.
Matching Wes and Owen on the ferris wjeel.

In case you were wondering, Henry slept through this outing as well.
