Getting weighed in his first 5 minutes...not sure what to think of things yet.
Everything checked out in the nursery.
Rachel helped with presents for Owen and also got some presents herself. She thinks this whole new brother thing is working out for her (so far at least).
Proud Daddy
Rachel has been very good at being gentle with the baby.
Owen gave Rachel a new coloring book and some stickers. She was happy to share with him.
We can only pray that they will continue to get along so well once she realizes that he is coming home with us to stay.
Next, Owen got to meet all the rest of the family that came to visit. Mimi got to hold him first.
Next, it was GranDave's turn.
Owen showed off his stickers that Rachel shared while he enjoyed being held by Grandma.
Uncle Travis got a turn next.
Next, the football was passed to Tante Angela (or Yaya if you are 2)
After all that passing and meeting people, Owen took a little rest. It was a big day!
A little bit later, Oma and Opa arrived to meet their latest grandchild. Of course, Oma got the first turn.
Opa was very happy to get to hold Owen as well.
We had a great first day (and second day so far) with Owen. We are so thankful for our wonderful family and all of them who were able to come visit to make this event even more special.
