Mardi Gras 2012

Two weeks ago, we took a trip to Mandeville to enjoy the end of Mardi Gras season and spend some time with the family.  We had a lot of fun!

As always, Rachel and Owen loved playing with their cousin Mia.  She was showing off her walking skills.

Even though she is a few months older than Owen, they are pretty close to the same size (he is a bit bigger).  You can see the difference well when Uncle Richard was holding both of them.

They had so much fun playing together!

Owen went to bed before the parade came, but Mia and Rachel enjoyed it with their daddies.

Here is Rachel coming back from yelling at the float.

The crew with their loot after the parade.

Tante YaYa came to visit as well.  She and Owen enjoyed playing with some of the beads.

Rachel enjoyed playing in the water and bubbles with Tante YaYa.

After lots of rain on Saturday, the weather was nice (ish) on Sunday so we took a bike ride to the lake front.

Owen was left out of this as well because he is not quite big enough to ride.  He stayed home with Oma and Opa.  The rest of us had a good ride.

At the lake, we played on the playground for a little while before heading back home.

Rachel had fun on the slide..and so did Tante YaYa after Rachel insisted that she go too.
