Christmas at Oma and Opa's (Part One)

We had a really fun visit to Oma and Opa's house for Christmas this year.

Rachel and Owen spent lots of time coloring and doing crafts in the kitchen at their table.

We also played in the garden (Owen is saying "cheese!")

Lots of biking and scooting in the driveway.

Rachel also learned to play dreidl at school so she taught us all.  Her favorite parts are the mints and gold coins.

We ventured into New Orleans to go to the Aquarium of the Americas.  I think this may be the only picture with Santa we did this year.

In the rainforest

Oh no...we are being swallowed by shark teeth!

Rachel liked to ham it up in the frog area.  Owen is trying to climb up behind her while Oma is trying to make sure she does not fall.

The parakeet exhibit was particularly fun.  Rachel still talks about all the birds that were landing on her.

Owen thought they were pretty cool, too.

Rachel even fed some herself.

We got to touch the stingrays.

Relaxing at the end while watching the big tank.

After the aquarium, we walked into the French Quarter for lunch before heading home.  It was a fun day!

    1. Ok. The "?" was not supposed to be there! Please replace it with a "!" and an appropriately positive tone of voice ;)
