In our continuing effort to enjoy as much as possible of what the nation's fourth largest city has to offer, we hit some museums this weekend.

The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (that's a real thing evidently) has a monthly hands-on activity. Rachel did a great job making a braided key chain. We are looking forward to what they will have next month.

We took a look around the center when we were done. Rachel chooses interesting picture poses sometimes.
They had a 3-D printer in action so we also got to watch that for awhile. A certain 2-year old had some trouble controlling himself so he got to head to the car early.
Some more contemporary craft examples.
We went to the Museum of Fine Arts after that for lunch. Henry and I enjoyed a short guided walk on the some of the Greek and Roman items in the exhibit. It was fun.
When we were there on Saturday, we discovered that the first Sunday of the month is family day at the museum. So, we went back again for lunch today.
They also had paper and pencils that you could take around the museum. The idea was the find a picture that you like and try to copy it. Initially, Rachel just enjoyed drawing whatever she felt like. We looked around and took breaks in a few of the rooms while she worked. I would note a certain non-museum loving 2-year old had to once again be escorted from the building.

It sounds as if Owen takes after his Opa!
